Indian Students Can Now Apply For Poland Visas

The Embassy of Poland has launched a new e-consulate system for visa applications, effective immediately. This system applies to both study visas and, starting June 26, 2024, employment visas, aimed at simplifying and expediting the application process.

Key Consulate Locations in India

Poland operates two consulates in India:

  • Polish Consulate in New Delhi: Covers a wide area including Delhi (NCR), Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and neighboring countries such as Nepal and Sri Lanka.
  • Polish Consulate in Mumbai: Services Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala, and other regions, along with Union Territories like Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Visa Types Available:

  1. Airport Transit Schengen Visa (A-Type):
  • Required for travelers passing through international transit areas of Schengen airports from specified countries.
  1. Schengen Visa (C-Type):
  • Allows stays up to 90 days within a 180-day period in Poland or other Schengen countries.
  1. National Visa (D-Type):
  • Necessary for stays exceeding 90 days in Poland, with a validity of one year and no extension option.

E-Consulate System Implementation

The new e-consulate system mandates that all applicants for study and employment visas register online. This initiative aims to enhance efficiency and transparency in visa processing for applicants across India. Applicants can access the e-consulate system through the official embassy website to initiate and track their visa applications.

Benefits of the E-Consulate System:

  • Streamlined Process: Simplifies visa application procedures and reduces processing times.
  • Accessibility: Allows applicants to submit documents and track their applications online from anywhere.
  • Efficiency: Ensures consistent and timely communication between applicants and consulate offices.
